Until now it has been a quiet summer so I got some time to update my blogg.
I started this summer on the 8th of June when I handed inn my last essay in philosophy of science. My neighbours from Germany came all the way up to Tromsø and together we drove down to southern Norway. There I met up with my family and we spent a couple of days on Jæren Folkehøgskole which is close to Stavanger.
After that we went to Germany and I spent about 3 weeks visiting all the grandmas and grandpas and, of course, my friends in Cottbus and Berlin. I really needed some time to acclimatise but after I got used to big cities again, it was great being with all the people I love.
Since I came back to Tromsø I've been working pretty much all the time at the pub, doing the guided tours and selling beer to all the funny tourists from the cruise boats.
Most of the international students from the last two semesters left already and so there were a lot of god-bye-parties going on during the last three weeks. It's really sad that so many god friends left and I was expecting a real down-time. But the new students are arriving already so we continue the partying and use the opportunity to introduce the freshmen to Norwegian culture and Tromsø life ;)
